The Brazilian Defence Attaché (DA) based in Abuja, Col Aristoteles Martins Rocha has visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) to bid farewell as he ends his tour of duty and to introduce the newly appointed DA, Col Hervel Queiroz de Sousa on Tuesday, 18 July 2017 at Burma camp in Accra.
The visit was also to renew the cordial military relations between the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and the Brazilian Armed Forces.
Col Martins Rocha in his brief said, the Brazilian Armed Forces had a proposed plan to train some Ghanaian soldiers in its Jungle Warfare School and some exchange programmes in terms of military training which he believed his successor would make it materialize.
The incoming DA, Col Queiroz de Sousa said he looked forward to improve upon the military relations with GAF during his tenure in office.
They visited the Chief Staff Officers (CSOs) of Army HQ, Brig Gen AY Nsiah, Navy HQ, Commodore Issa Yakubu and Air force HQ, Gp Capt JA Asirifi.
