The Principal General Staff Officer (PGSO) of the Ministry of Defence, Brig Gen Frederick Buliga held a durbar with military personnel and the Ghana Armed Civilian Employees of the Ministry to discuss welfare issues and the way forward.
Brig Gen Buliga congratulated all for comporting themselves at work throughout the year and also tasked them to give off their best in the coming year.
He updated staff on the activities of the Ghana Armed Forces as it launched another Internal Security Operation code named “Operation Conquered Fist” to flush out suspected terrorists from Northern Ghana.
Also, he cautioned personnel to be more vigilant and take their personal safety seriously as security threats are taking new trends. Additionally, he advised staff to be careful during the festive season especially motorists to drive safely and respect other road users.
In the area of welfare, he announced the Ministry’s intention to build a gymnasium which would enable the staff exercise to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Brig Gen Buliga also stated that a new residential accommodation block had been completed for use by the platoon guards. As part of the durbar, there was an open forum where personnel interacted with the PGSO.
