A 4-member delegation led by the Defence Attaché from the Chinese Embassy in Ghana, Zhao Hong Quan called on the Defence Minister at The Square. The visit was to sign an agreement for the expansion of the 37 Military Hospital.
The agreement was signed for the expansion of the facility to a 700-bed hospital, which is being undertaken by China Shipbuilding Trading Company Ltd (CSTC) led by the Deputy Director of African Department, Cheng Wenlin.
Hon Nitiwul urged the contractors working on the project to ensure they deliver the medical facility by the expected period. He added that Government has managed to do its part by providing the needed sum in order to ensure that the project is completed. In all, a total amount of 289,900,000.00 US dollars is required to complete the project.
The Defence Attaché, Hong Quan said, they will deliver as promised and are looking forward to more future engagements with the Government of Ghana. The Deputy Director of CSTC, Cheng Wenlin, gave an assurance that the company would work to meet expectations. He added that, the company had built a huge reputation over the years and would maintain this by completing on schedule with quality work.
