The Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, Her Excellency Shlomit Sufa paid a courtesy call on the Defence Minister, Hon Dominic Nitiwul at The Square.
The visit was to reinforce the already existing bilateral relationship between Ghana and Israel.
Hon Nitiwul stated that the ultimate goal under his tenure was to protect the peace and stability enjoyed by Ghanaians. For this reason, he added that, measures were in place to tighten security to prevent terrorism around the northern borders. The Minister further noted that the longstanding relationship between Ghana and Israel keeps growing stronger and must be maintained.
Ambassador Sufa lauded Ghana for the vital role played in relation to global peacekeeping of which Ghana is recognized as the 10th highest troop contributing country in the world. She added that the Ghana Armed Forces is doing extremelywell and assured Israel’s assistance and long-term relationship with her.
