The Minister for Defence, Hon Dominic Nitiwul, said Ghana is working assiduously with her neighbours to find a lasting solution to threats both at sea and on land. He made this known when the Namibian High Commissioner, HE Salma Ashipala-Musavyi, paid a working visit to him at The Square.
Hon Nitiwul indicated that the relationship between Ghana and Namibia dates back to Independence era and was reinforced in 2015 when the Namibian Government set up its High Commission in Ghana.
The Minister disclosed that although Ghana is a peaceful country, it experiences some forms of inter-tribal conflicts from time to time which it is working to curtail.
HE Ashipala-Musavyi, stated that the relationship between Ghana and Namibia is indisputably excellent. However, trade and investment have not benefited from this relationship. She revealed that Namibia was working to review visa processing for business travels to ensure smooth entry into the country. This, she believes will serve as an incentive for Ghanaians seeking to do business in Namibia.
