A 23-member delegation from the Zambian Defence Services Command and Staff College visited The Square as part of their study tour. The delegation, comprising 2 Directing Staff, 15 students and 6 supporting staff.
According to the leader of the delegation, Col N Mwamba, the reason for their visit was to study the socio-economic development and the political system of Ghana. This, he said, will help the students to better understand their course. He expressed gratitude to Hon Nitiwul for accepting their request.
The Minister gave a brief of the Ministry, the Military Command and the structure of the Ghana Armed Forces. He cited Government’s efforts to strengthen the country’s peace and security and the socio-economic development of Ghana since this was paramount for development in any country.
Hon Dominic Nitiwul, gave a presentation on the programmes, priorities and activities of the Ghana Armed Forces and the Ministry as a whole to the delegation. He reiterated the long-standing relations that Ghana has with Zambia, while assuring them of maximum cooperation to make their stay in Ghana fruitful.
