Brief Profile of Hon Ernest Brogya Genfi

Honourable Ernest Brogya Genfi is a marketing consultant and a student of law who has developed a strong expertise in strategic marketing, public administration, and political communications.

He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Marketing Strategy from the University of Ghana, Legon.

He also studied for Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

Hon. Brogya Genfi was born to Mr. Kwaku Brogya Genfi (deceased) and Mad. Gladys Gyekye, from the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

He previously worked with the National Trust Holding Company (NTHC) Limited as a Branch head of marketing and the Information Services Department (ISD) of Ghana, where he served as the Public Relations Officer for the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council.

He attended Kumasi Academy for his secondary education and Kumasi Technical University for a Diploma in Business Studies.

Additionally, he graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies from the Institute of Commercial Studies, UK, and currently, a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants, Ghana.

Under his stewardship as Board Chairman, Defence Industries Holding Company (DIHOC), a company owned 100% by the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and Ministry of Defence (MOD), has initiated several self-sustaining projects for the company with particular emphasis on Agriculture and Agribusiness.

Brogya Genfi has a passion for youth participation in governance and politics.

Politically, he has held several positions in the ruling National Democratic Congress including Deputy National Director for Special Duties and Regional Youth Organiser for the Party in the Ashanti Region.

In 2016, he contested for parliament for Suame Constituency on the ticket of his party.

He is married and blessed with four (4) children – a girl and three (3) boys.

Hon. Brogya Genfi is an alumni of the United States International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP).
