The Acting Judge Advocate General, Brigadier General Benjamin Amoah-Boakye, on behalf of the Deputy Minister for Defence, Hon Ernest Brogya Genfi, received Ghana’s Ambassador to Turkey, His Excellency Abdul Nasiru-Deen and a delegation from Eskim Yatirim Holdings at the Ministry.

Colonel William Nortey, the Deputy Director General of Defence Industries Department at the General Headquarters delivered a detailed presentation on the Defence Industries Holding Company Limited (DIHOC), outlining its areas of interest, ongoing joint ventures and prospects for collaboration, particularly in the mining sector.
Brigadier General Amoah-Boakye emphasised that DIHOC seeks to strengthen the Ghana Armed Forces’ internally generated funds and complement government’s efforts to retool the Armed Forces. He further mentioned that the Government has given approval for the Ghana Armed Forces through DIHOC to undertake an Environmental Restoration Project to restore all the water bodies in the Ghana that have been destroyed through illegal mining activities.

Presenting on behalf of Eskim Yatirim Holdings, a member of the board, Mr Seyfetrun Saglam highlighted the company’s corporate profile and expressed its interest in investing in Ghana.
The meeting ended with both sides identifying areas of cooperation and agreeing on a proposed roadmap to guide future engagements.
Present at the meeting were a number of DIHOC Board Members including Brigadier General Charles Gbekle, Brigadier General KD Hagan, Col Asabre (Rtd) and Madam Vida Addai.
